IAN
BLYTHE - Managing Director
Educated at London University he became the research
director of the Brunning Advertising Group in 1966,
before taking up a similar role with, the New York based,
NCK Advertising in 1975. In 1982 he was appointed Client
Services Director of Survey Research Associates, an
NOP Group company. From 1985 he was engaged in market
research consultancy before joining VAR International
in 1999, as Managing Director until 2002, when he left
to establish Empathy Research & Marketing Limited.
A speaker at industry events Ian has served as a Council
member of The Market Research Society and The Association
of British Market Research Companies. He is also a former
Chairman of the Joint Industry Debating Group at Westminster.
He is a Vice President of The Publicity Club of London
and a member of both the Chartered Institute of Marketing
and the Institute of Public Relations. In 2002 he was
Master of The Worshipful Company of Marketors in The
City of London.
